Welcome to Moytafi Apartments & Poem of the sea studios located at Nea Roda, Chalkidiki.
The area is rich in history; its journey begins in 480 BC, when Xerxes, the Great King of the Persians in order to escape the wrath of the weather cuts a 2.5 kilometers long isthmus to avoid the circumscription of the Athos peninsula.
In 1923-24, a great number of Greek refuges from Minor Asia in order to escape the Turkish army find refuge at this area and Nea Roda becomes the largest refuge settlement in Northern Chalkidiki.
Today Nea Roda is a lively traditional settlement with more than 1150 residents. A picturesque village with stunning beaches and sparking blue water that awarded the Blue Flag.
Nea Roda is located between the town of Ierissos and the town of Ouranoupolis. In Ierissos, the visitor can find health centers, drug stores, banks, department stores, cafés, bars and restaurants while in 6 kilometers to the south in the bustling town of Ouranoupolis boats are waiting to take visitors to the Holy Mountain.
